The Course Behind Sunset Greens Gets Busy Just as CasaBlanca Gets Cheaper

Which round of golf at CasaBlanca Golf Club matters most this year? It's the final round of the 2026 Nevada Open, starting with a 9 a.m. shotgun on Thursday, November 5, on the course that wraps around Sunset Greens. That round falls in the middle of a stretch of golf mornings that starts on Tuesday, November 3, and ends on Sunday, November 8. The same week, the resort's pool, cabanas and spa switch to winter terms, which makes them cheaper for anyone with a local ID than they were in October.

So the first week of November brings the year's heaviest tournament traffic to the fairways out back while the amenities next door get less expensive. Here is how the dates line up.

The week, day by day

On Sunday, November 1, the resort's calendar turns over. The tournaments start two days later, and from then on the two schedules overlap.

Day On the course At the resort
Sun, Nov 1 No tournament play listed Pool winter hours begin, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; winter cabana rates start
Mon, Nov 2 Nevada Open registration, 3 to 7 p.m. Free local pool passes, Monday through Wednesday
Tue, Nov 3 Nevada Open first round, 9 a.m. shotgun, CasaBlanca and Palms Free local pool passes
Wed, Nov 4 Nevada Open second round, 9 a.m. shotgun, then the 36-hole cut Free local pool passes
Thu, Nov 5 Nevada Open final round, 9 a.m. shotgun, CasaBlanca only Fall II-Man pairings party, 6 p.m., Grand Ballroom
Fri, Nov 6 Fall II-Man first round, 9 a.m. shotgun Spa locals discount does not apply on Fridays
Sat, Nov 7 Fall II-Man second round, 9 a.m. shotgun Dirt Road – the Jason Aldean Experience, Showroom, 8 p.m.
Sun, Nov 8 Fall II-Man final round, 9 a.m. shotgun II-Man awards reception, 6 p.m., Grand Ballroom

That's six straight mornings with a 9 a.m. shotgun on CasaBlanca, and Thursday is the day the two tournaments meet. The Nevada Open crowns its champion that morning, and the Fall II-Man field gathers for its pairings party that evening.

Three days of the state's open, with the final round at home

The 2026 Nevada Open is a 54-hole event split between the CasaBlanca and Palms courses. Each player plays one round on each course in the first two days, and then the field is cut to 30% plus ties. Only those who make the cut play Thursday's final round, and all of it is at CasaBlanca Golf Club. If the overall title ends in a tie, a sudden-death playoff settles it. The resort lists a $150,000 purse based on a full field of 224 players.

That means the biggest crowds come on Tuesday and Wednesday, with up to 224 players spread over two courses. The field drops to around 30% for Thursday, and the whole thing finishes on the course around Sunset Greens.

Players check in on Monday, November 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. at CasaBlanca Resort, by Cups Coffee. Visit Mesquite's event listing says the tournament is free to watch. One rule for anyone walking along: under the tournament's cart policy, spectators are not permitted to ride with players. Caddies have to walk too.

Recent finishes have been close. Las Vegas Golf Insider reported that Beau Breault won the 2025 Nevada Open, held November 4 to 6, 2025, at the Palms and CasaBlanca. He beat John Greco with a birdie on the sixth playoff hole. The year before, Mesquite Local News reported that Michael Feagles won at 16 under, one stroke ahead of Chase Sienkiewicz and Zander Winston. The same Las Vegas Golf Insider story says the event has more than 40 years of history and names Tom Lehman and Taylor Montgomery as former champions who went on to the PGA Tour. The resort's own course description says CasaBlanca hosts the Nevada Open every year. The Cal Olson design runs in and out of the Virgin River basin and has five sets of tees.

The weekend goes to the II-Man

When the Nevada Open wraps up, the CasaBlanca Fall II-Man begins. Its schedule pulls a third course into the week. Play rotates among three courses, each with its own format:

  • Palms: Two-Man Scramble
  • Falcon Ridge: Best Ball
  • CasaBlanca: modified Alternate Shot

Every round starts with a 9 a.m. shotgun on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 6 to 8. The page says the rotation depends on the number of net teams. Entry is $625 per player or $1,250 per team, with $6,000 offered per flight, and registration is already full. With a full field, teams will be on the course behind Sunset Greens all three mornings. In the evenings, the event moves indoors to the Grand Ballroom: the pairings party is Thursday at 6 p.m., and the awards reception is Sunday at 6 p.m.

The same week, the resort's prices drop

While the course gets busier, the resort next door moves to its winter schedule. October 31 is the last day of the October terms.

Cabanas give the clearest comparison. October cabanas start at $100 a day plus a $100 food and beverage minimum. From November 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027, they start at $50 a day with no minimum. Non-hotel guests can rent cabanas. Each one holds up to six guests and comes with a Cabana Host, but you have to be 21 or older to book.

Pool hours get shorter for the season. During October 25 to 31 the pool is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. From November 1 through February 11 it's 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. closing returns on February 12. The hot tub stays open 24 hours a day.

The local perks are where living next door pays off. A daily pool pass at the front desk costs $20 for adults. On Mondays through Wednesdays, local residents get a pass free by checking in at the front desk with a valid Nevada or Arizona ID. Mesquite and Bunkerville are on the eligible list, along with Moapa, Logandale, Overton, Scenic, Littlefield, Beaver Dam and St. George. This year, the first three free days of winter hours are Monday through Wednesday, November 2 to 4. That's Nevada Open registration day and both full-field rounds.

The Spa & Salon at CasaBlanca takes 20% off all services Sunday through Thursday for residents of Mesquite, Beaver Dam, Scenic, Littlefield, Bunkerville and Moapa Valley. You just show a valid ID with your address. The spa also sells a $35 Spa Day Pass. Both rounds of the full-field Nevada Open and its final round fall inside the discount window. The II-Man's Friday and Saturday rounds fall outside it.

After the first week

Once November 8 passes, the course calendar spaces out. The resort lists the Gobbler Classic on November 22 and Swing with Santa on December 20, and it says more tournaments are coming soon.

The CasaBlanca Showroom has these winter dates. Doors open at 7 p.m., and admission is 21 and over unless noted:

  1. November 7: Dirt Road – the Jason Aldean Experience
  2. December 12: The Fourmers
  3. December 19: Elisa's Tribute to Celine Dion Starring Elisa Furr
  4. January 1: Zowie Bowie Retrovoxx, free for Rewards members 21 and over
  5. January 2: Great White

The last two shows are part of the resort's New Year week, which runs December 27 through January 2. The week includes an '80s Prom NYE Party on December 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., free for Rewards members 21 and over, and a New Year's Day brunch in the Grand Ballroom from 9 a.m. to noon for $22.99 plus tax.

The cabana rate stays at $50 with no minimum through all of it, until February 28.
